Excellent news for the Indians amid the rise in the Corona cases as The Central Government has announced that the vaccines drive will be started for the youngsters. People above the age of 18 will be allowed to take the vaccine from the 1st of May.

It will be phase 3 of the corona vaccine drive in which everyone above 18 years of age will be eligible to get vaccinated. Supposedly, this will be the largest vaccine drive compared to any part of the world.

This decision was taken by the committee chaired by the honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who also said that the government had been working hard since last year to get every Indian citizen vaccinated and in the shortest period of time.

Under Phase 3 of the vaccine drive, manufacturers would be supplying 50% of the monthly central Drugs Laboratory doses to the Central Government and the other half to the State government and the open Market, distributing accordingly. As per the Central Government, it will allocate the distribution of vaccines to the states based on a number of cases and after taking into account the current COVID situation of individual states.

Overall, preferences to the Front line workers as well as the population above the age of 45 will still be given, and this will be continued to be provided free as part of the previous vaccination drive.

Chief Minister’s from all the states has welcomed the government’s decision with praises and steps it is taking to lower the critical situation that has surfaced recently.

Let’s hope that India fights back from this crisis as soon as possible and we come back on track both economically and mentally.
